Elizabeth Stinman Voice & Piano Faculty
Elizabeth Stinman is a Lincoln native and currently serves as the the full-time staff collaborative pianist at Peru State College, with Director of Choral Studies (and Sing Omaha founder) Matt Hill. She graduated magna cum laude from Doane College in Crete, Nebraska, having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Direction for Musical Theatre in May, 2014.
Since 2009, Liz has worked on more than 50 productions as a music director, vocal coach, and/or accompanist around the Midwest. She has also worked as a music director and teaching artist at Stagedoor Manor; a performing arts training center for youth in New York City. In January 2016 she participated in the highly-selective Goodspeed Musicals Music Direction Intensive in Connecticut.
As a collaborative pianist, Liz has worked with celebrated musical theatre industry professionals at the International Thespian Festival, which is held annually at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She has also accompanied for vocal masterclasses at the Lied Center for Performing Arts, for Irene Ryan scholarship competitors at the Region V Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF), and is a regular accompanist for the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) at the state and regional level.
