Beth King Voice Faculty
Beth King has worked as a singer, actor, vocal coach and stage director for the past ten years. She is very excited to join the Sing Omaha Studios Faculty.
Beth attended Ralston High School and graduated with honors in Music and Theatre in 1993. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Music Education from Dana College, a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from The University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts emphasis in Acting from UNL.
As a student Beth was blessed to work with some truly amazing teachers and mentors: Beth Asbjornson, Jeanmarie Neilson, Richard Palmer, Donna Harler-Smith, Alisa Belflower, William Shomos, Ariel Bybee, Hal France, Stan Brown and Harris Smith.
She has performed with numerous theaters in the Omaha area including: The Omaha Community Playhouse, Opera Omaha, The Dundee Diner Theater, TADA Theater, Ralston Community Theater, Bellevue Community Theater, The Chanteclear Theater.
Beth has spent the last seven years working as a professional actor and singer in Minneapolis, MN, and has worked professionally with many theaters and organizations in the Minneapolis area including: Lyric Arts of Anoka, Skylark Opera, SOAR Arts, The Guthrie, Bloomington Civic, The Minnesota Orchestra, Seasons Dinner Theater, Gilbert and Sullivan Very Light Opera Company, Daleko Arts, and The Day Trippers.
Some of her favorite roles include: The Narrator Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Sister Robert Anne Nunsense, Countess Rosina The Marriage of Figaro, Josephine H.M.S. Pinafore, Dolly Levi Hello Dolly!, Reggie Fluty The Laramie Project, Nettie Fowler Carousel, Cinderella Into the Woods.
