Reva Benefiel Piano Faculty

Reva is excited to join the Sing Omaha faculty family, and is grateful for the opportunity to work with Sing Omaha students!

Reva Benefiel began her piano studies in the studio of Dr. Claudette Valentine, in Omaha, and went on to major in piano performance at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa where she served two years as the rehearsal accompanist for the Drake University-Community Chorus.

Reva served as the collaborative pianist for the Peru State College Choirs for seven years, and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Community Music and Studio Teaching from PSC.  She has accompanied for numerous schools and for vocal festivals in Iowa and Nebraska, has served as a church pianist for over 30 years, and has taught private lessons in piano, voice, and brass during her career.

Reva currently conducts the youth club choir at United Trinity Church in Hamburg, Iowa. Additionally, is the director of the Saint Cecilia Choir, a women’s chorus with members from southwest Iowa, southeast Nebraska, and northwest Missouri.
